Ways to reduce dark circles

Whenever I look in the mirror I see dark circles around my eyes, which pisses me off. Finally, after getting to hear a lot about how bad they look, I decided to work on them. I am totally utilizing my time during this lockdown and doing every ski care regime possible. After trying a few methods, here are some ways to get rid of dark circles.

Causes of dark circles:

•    Improper sleep

•    Stress

•    Iron deficiency

•    Repeated rubbing or scratching of the skin causes discoloration around the eye.

•    Smoking


•    Aloe Vera gel

I am a big fan of aloe Vera it works wonder for almost every skin problem. If you want to reduce dark circles apply aloe vera mixed with vitamin E oil and coconut oil. Apply this mixture twice a day and you will get results. Apply it before sleeping and leave it overnight, wash it in the morning.

•    Cucumbers

Other than being the perfect salad food, cucumbers are best for dark circles. Cucumbers have vitamin K, which increases blood circulation that helps in reducing dark circles. Place chilled slices on the eyes.

•    Potatoes

Potatoes are amazing for treating the dark area around the eyes. They contain Vitamin C and antioxidant that repairs skin cells and reduce skin’s melanin production, one of the major reasons for dark circles.  Peel the potato, thoroughly wash it, and apply slices on your eyes.

•    Argan Oil

Argan oil consists of vitamin E and tocopherols that reload moisture in skin cells and reduce wrinkles by repairing skin’s hydro-lipid layer. Just massage a few drops under eyes for a few minutes before sleeping. Keep it overnight and rinse in the morning.

•    Cold tea bags

The amount of caffeine present in tea bags shrinks blood vessels and reduces fluid retention in tissues. This makes the skin around your eyes vibrant and glowing. Take two soaked tea bags and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Then place them on each eye for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with cold water and do this twice a day for better results.
